Collaborative editing features include:

  • Data flow - from prior card - optionally answers from one or more questions can be forwarded to the collaborative edit card
  • Questions - Existing and new questions may be added. Existing may come from the body or header (see question flow for more details and limitation. There are no header questions with the collaborative edit card at present. Questions can be added by the facilitator or lead.
  • Activities - are defined in the canvas (template) and interplay edit by the facilitator or lead. The activity types are currently - data gathering, voting, scoring or ranking.
  • Data gathering events - are defined based on the "gather" activity type. The facilitator or lead may organize gathering data, grouping answers to remove duplicates, grouping answers to build context for a topic/issue, classifying answers across questions with labels, reviewing topics....
  • Voting, scoring or ranking events - are defined based on the activity type. The activity is defined in terms of the voting, scoring or ranking questions. There may be more than one of these question per event. Other specifics are define per event such as number of answers ranked, or split of votes per question or type of scoring being performed.
  • Labels - are a powerful mechanism to classify and filter the data. The facilitator or lead will add the labels and will likely do this as part of the conversation.
  • Chat channel - as a participant, if you want a question, label, or event to be added or amended, use chat or another communication channel to make the request.
  • Snapshot - Each participant can create views for themselves. This is personal - no one else can see this view. The view is made from the specific questions, event and label selected. This is saved and can be viewed at any time.
  • Call to Sync - at times the lead or facilitator may want all participants to be on the same page. A request will be made to you which you can accept and go to the same screen or reject and stay on the screen you are working on.
  • Viewing results - At the end of the events, you can see the results of the event. If it is a voting, scoring or ranking event, then you see the results. You also have a toggle to see the results from the team or just your result. In the gathering events, the view you see is the status at the end of the event.
  • Sequence of events - you can see the sequence of progress across the gather and then voting, scoring or ranking events if the work is performed in sequence.
