Why cards?

Janars has different card for different purposes within interplays (structured conversations). One card will gather information. Another will support review of that data and creation of observations. Another will support grouping, classification, and voting. Another will support agreement,...

As we add features to Janars, the support for these different activities will drive the need for more card types.

Card Types

Currently we have two major card types:

Individual edit

The interface supports data gathering via either one question at a time or a list of questions. It is a record set of data that can be captured from many participants. Then it can be brought together for review and editing by the contributors and facilitator/lead. It then can be voted on and agreed. This functions are described in more detail in the article mentioned below.

Collaborative edit

The interface supports an emergent structure (flow), through a series of questions, events, labels. It is adapted with emergent realities of the conversation. It is possible to start with an existing structure and adapt it.
